I have been a coach for 10 years, but it wasn't until last year that I discovered the joy of being a unified partner when I participated in bocce with one of my athletes, and it culminated with a gold medal at the state games. What a joy to see how my athlete gave 110 percent, and letting the other students know how much fun it was playing with coach! Now I have several other athletes excited about bowling this year with a unified partner! It truly can make a difference in the lives of these students to get involved as a unified partner, and I am encouraging all my teachers to give it a try! ~ Bob Steele
